Your cruise ship job cover letter needs to impress the recruiter to get you an interview. Since you only get one chance to make a first impression you must find a way to set yourself apart from the dozens of other cruise ship job applicants who want the same job. So how do you wow the cruise recruiter and answer their question: why should I hire this person?
Visual Impact of a Cruise Ship Job Cover Letter
How your cover letter looks is almost as important as what your cover letter says. Consider that your cover letter will probably only be scanned the first time and won’t really be read word for word. Therefore it must be eye-catching at first glance in order to ward a real read through. Since there are only a few things you can do to create visual impact in an emailed cover letter, it is best to also send your application package by mail. When sending it by mail, a technique such as using a header with your name is one way to create visual impact. When copying your cover letter into the body of an email you can use bullets to list a few of your career highlights. Another technique is to use bold to highlight your most important attributes (no more than three phrases should be bold, though).
